ShelfControl mark ShelfControl

Built to fit.
Not to template.

Marketing sites, client portals, and purpose-built platforms — designed and engineered by the same team that runs your infrastructure. If it needs to be fast, secure, and still working in three years, that's the job.

Responsive · Accessible · Fast Deployed
What we build

Three kinds of
build, one team.

Some clients need a site that earns the phone call. Some need software that runs the business. We do both, and we don't hand either one to a subcontractor.

01 · Web

Custom websites

Marketing sites designed around what you actually sell — built to load fast, read well on a phone, and turn visitors into calls.

  • Design & build
  • Mobile-first layout
  • SEO & structured data
  • Lead capture & forms
  • Analytics that answer questions
02 · Software

Platforms & portals

Purpose-built software for the work a spreadsheet stopped handling — client portals, scheduling, quoting, invoicing, internal tooling.

  • Custom SaaS architecture
  • Client & customer portals
  • Role-based access
  • Payments & invoicing
  • Mobile-ready interfaces
03 · Plumbing

Integrations & automation

The unglamorous part that saves the most hours: getting your systems to talk so nobody re-types the same record twice.

  • QuickBooks & accounting sync
  • CRM & email integrations
  • Third-party APIs
  • Scheduled jobs & alerts
  • Data migration

We ship our own
software, too.

RootControl and LightControl aren't case studies we bought — they're products we designed, built, and still run. The same team, the same standards, applied to your build.

Our platform · Field

RootControl

An all-in-one field-management platform — routing and dispatch, AI-assisted estimating, a client hub, a mobile field app, and instant invoicing.

Our platform · Showroom

LightControl

Showroom software for the lighting trade — quoting and e-sign, deposits, vendor purchase orders, receiving, and delivery, with every dollar synced to QuickBooks.

How it goes

Scoped first.
Then built.

The reason software projects blow up is that nobody agreed what "done" meant. We settle that before we write anything.

Step 01

Fit call

Thirty minutes on what you're trying to do and what's in the way. If we're not the right build partner for it, we'll tell you on that call rather than three weeks in.

Step 02

Scope & fixed quote

We write down every screen, integration, and hand-off, then price it. You get one number and a timeline before any work starts — not an hourly meter.

Step 03

Design & build

You see it in stages, on a real URL, while it's being built. Feedback lands early, when changing something still costs a conversation instead of a change order.

Step 04

Launch & support

We deploy it, monitor it, patch it, and back it up. The people who built it are the people who answer when something looks wrong.

What it costs

No list price.
A real one instead.

A five-page site and a multi-tenant platform with a payment integration are not the same job, so we won't pretend one number covers both. We scope your build, then give you a fixed quote before anything starts.

Driver 01

Scope

How many pages, screens, and user types. A brochure site and a portal with four permission levels sit at opposite ends of the same estimate.

Driver 02

Complexity

What it has to talk to and what it has to calculate. Payments, accounting sync, third-party APIs, and custom logic are where real engineering time goes.

Driver 03

Aftercare

Whether you want it handed over or held. Hosting, monitoring, patching, and ongoing changes are quoted separately so you can decide what you actually want.

Fixed quote before work begins — no hourly surprises, no change orders for things we should have asked about. Get a scoped quote →

FAQ

Questions,
answered plainly.

If something's not here, email us and a real person replies.

How much does a website or custom platform cost?

There's no list price, because there's no standard build. A five-page marketing site and a multi-tenant platform with a payment integration are different pieces of work. We scope your build first, then hand you one fixed quote before anything starts.

Do you host and maintain what you build?

Yes. We host, patch, monitor, and back up what we build — the same team and the same infrastructure that runs our managed IT clients. No handoff between the people who built it and the people who keep it running.

Do I have to be a managed IT client to hire you for a build?

No. Web and software work is scoped and quoted on its own. Plenty of clients start with a site or a platform and never sign on for IT services — that's fine.

Who owns the code and the content?

You do. You own the domain, the content, and the code we write for you. If you ever want to take it elsewhere, we hand it over rather than hold it hostage.

Can you take over a site someone else built?

Often, yes. We'll audit what's there and tell you straight whether it's worth maintaining or worth replacing — including when the honest answer is "leave it alone, it's fine."

Need a custom web platform
or purpose-built site?

Whether you need always-on managed IT or a high-converting web presence, we build infrastructure that scales.
